2025 was a year focused on practicality. Instead of building features for the sake of features, we aimed for improvements that shorten routine work, strengthen collaboration across hybrid teams, and give you more control over projects, support operations, and automation. 

When we look back at what clients used the most, one pattern is clear: the most valuable features were those that removed manual steps, standardised processes and provided clarity where it was previously scattered across tools or people.

Stronger automations, smarter workflows: Our n8n Expert Partnership

This year also marked an important strategic milestone: our certification as an n8n Expert Partner. This partnership strengthened our ability to help clients design and deploy automation workflows that go beyond Easy Redmine itself — connecting tools, synchronising data, and replacing manual work across organisations. As more teams moved toward smarter, integrated processes, n8n became a key part of how our clients scaled automation in a secure and maintainable way.

What made the most difference in 2025

This year’s most impactful improvements focused on automation, clarity and reliability across your daily operations. Teams adopted the new Automation Buttons, expanded workflow automations and our AI agents to eliminate repetitive steps in projects and daily work. 

The new AI Project Status helped hybrid teams prepare updates more easily and stay aligned across time zones. Customer support benefited from the new HelpDesk Agent with transparent reasoning, the fully released SLA engine that brings real-time metrics and automated status handling, and the upgraded Knowledge Assistant, which makes it faster to extract answers, understand context and respond accurately even under high ticket volume.

And for organisations running Easy Redmine in secure cloud or on-premises environments, the Docker deployment option improved installation, performance and long-term maintainability. All these enhancements were built with a single purpose: reduce manual effort and give your teams more time for work that truly moves projects forward.

One-click triggers that replace a chain of manual updates. Teams now use them to assign tasks, escalate priorities, generate sub-tasks, update statuses or handle ticket workflows instantly. The result is fewer errors, faster reactions and more predictable work cycles.

Workflow automations & AI agents

In our autumn webinar series, we demonstrated how automations and AI agents can streamline daily operations across project, support, and development teams. Many organisations have already taken the next step by connecting Easy Redmine with n8n and moving towards full workflow automation. 

The most common scenarios included:

  • AI-assisted reporting, project health analysis, smarter resource planning, and automatic risk detection (appreciated by project management teams).
  • Smart ticket routing, AI-powered replies, and automatic documentation that turn the entire service process into a connected, streamlined workflow (ideal for support teams).
  • Automated analysis of incoming security incidents, generation of risk assessments, and preparation of actionable next steps while keeping full control over sensitive data.
  • Eliminating process gaps, improving reporting accuracy, and creating cross-department workflows that deliver clarity and operational efficiency across the value chain.
  • AI-driven sorting of errors, documenting merge requests, preparing summaries, and handling minor bug fixes, giving development teams more uninterrupted coding time.

This year’s major shift in support operations. The new agent doesn’t only reply faster — it reasons. It checks facts, highlights missing information, detects risks, suggests mitigation steps, and adds transparency to every answer. The result is fewer back-and-forths with customers, more consistent service quality, and higher operator confidence.

SLA engine

A fully transparent SLA view now shows response and resolution metrics directly on each ticket. Automated status changes, countdowns, and reporting through API give support leads much better control and easier audit readiness.

AI Project Status

Project managers relied heavily on AI Project Status throughout 2025. It provides quick, structured reporting when time is limited, helping teams prepare clear updates without digging through multiple sources. This is especially valuable for hybrid teams that need to stay aligned across time zones or rely on asynchronous communication.

Knowledge Assistant

The upgraded Knowledge Assistant became one of the most widely used AI tools across departments. By serving as a unified knowledge source connected to your project data, documentation, attachments and even external websites, it provides consistent, context-aware answers with source references you can trust. 

Whether teams need quick insights (Lite) or advanced decision support based on their own Collections (Pro), the assistant helps reduce search time, speeds up onboarding, ensures cross-department consistency, and supports real-time decision-making — valuable for support and project teams handling high information volume.

Docker deployment

  • Time is relative: Together, you logged 509,715 hours of work this year. For one person, that would mean 58 years of non-stop work, starting back in 1967.
  • Full speed ahead: The system processed over 9.3 million updates — meaning that every single second of the working day, something was happening in your projects.
  • Getting Things Done: You successfully completed 865,361 tasks.
  • New ambitions: You kicked off 58,868 new projects.
  • Workflow automations: 12 automated workflows for 5 customers

These sessions attracted almost 2,000 registrants, confirming that organisations across industries are actively looking for structured, practical guidance — not only on tools, but on building smarter, more efficient operations powered by AI and automation.
