Redmine Baselines Show Actual Project Performance Against Expectations

With the help of basic project data, it is possible to perform an analysis to determine the actual performance compared to the expected level of activity in the specified time period. Easy Gantt PRO includes a function to display the baseline. The default plan does not change even after the actual plan is changed. Easy Gantt allows you to create multiple baselines, which figure like clones of a project plan at different time points. Before using baselines, you must have this module enabled in the project settings.

The baseline is easy to create

If the module is enabled, simply open the Easy Gantt tab on any project and find Baselines under the Tools tab in the upper right corner. Click on it, select Create, and enter your baseline name. Then you will see that all tasks and milestones on the Easy Gantt timeline are divided into two rows, where the upper rows are your current tasks/milestones, and those underneath are the original tasks at the time you created this baseline. This will give you a great overview of all the changes you've ever made.

In addition to the visual representation of the baselines on the Easy Gantt timeline, you can see data about starting and ending dates of the baselined tasks in the information columns on the left side of the timeline. This additional information will help you when you need to compare the current starting and ending dates with the original baseline.
